BURRVILLE

Burrville (Sevier) is on Burr Creek west of the junction of U-24 and U-62. As far back as 1872 attemps were made to establish homesteads and ranches in this Grass Valley region. These endeavors failed because of Indian problems, isolation, and severe winters. In 1875 the Charles C. Burr family settled there and the site was named after them.
