Note: According to Lonna D. Pectol (Behunin) great-great granddaughter of
Isaac Behunin, Isaac was the first settler of Ephraim. Sixteen years after
Ephraim was settled the following is found in the Journal History, 1868: May
12, p2. 'Elder Geo. A. Smith wrote the following: In 1852 Fort Ephraim was
settled by Isaac Behunin alone. It now contains 300 families.'
