Great Salt Lake
Note: The Great Salt Lake is what remains of the once huge
ice-age *Lake Bonneville. The remaining lake, only 35'
at its deepest, fluctuates greatly from year to year
depending on the snow run-off. A drop of ca. 9'
results in the loss of almost 50% of its
surface area. It is the largest U.S.
lake west of the Mississippi.

High: 1986, 4211.8'
