Hideout (Wasatch) filed a petition on November 21, 2007 for creation of a town in Hideout Canyon. It is a master-planned community situated on highway 248 on the northeast side of Jordanelle Reservoir overlooking the rugged Wasatch Mountains. Hideout is ca. 9 miles from Park City and Deer Valley ski resorts. Heber City is 17.6 miles south and Salt Lake City is 34.7 miles west/northwest.
