LAKESIDE Lakeside (Box Elder) is on the western shore of the Great Salt Lake. In 1901 the settlement developed and was inhabited by people who worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad that crossed the lake. Today the area is restricted to federal government military use. John W. Van Cott |
