History of Manasseh, Utah

Manasseh (Sanpete) is located on the west side of the Sanpitch River along the Sanpitch Mountains. On the east side is the flourishing town of Ephraim. Manasseh at one time consisted of 21 families. The town of Manasseh did not prosper like its sister city across the river and the area is now used only for agricultural purposes.

Other nearby towns along the U-89 Corridor include: Manti, 7.0 miles (11.26 km) south; Spring City, 10.7 miles (17.21 km) north; Sterling, 13.2 miles (21.24 km) south; Wales, 13.2 miles (21.24 km) northwest; and Mount Pleasant, 15.3 miles (24.62 km) north.
