MILLS

Mills (Juab). In the spring of 1880 the Union Pacific Railroad crossed the Sevier River on a grade constructed under the supervision of Henry Mills. This crossing became the construction settlement named for Superintendent Mills. It had earlier names of Suckertown and Wellington. The railroad also named the surrounding valley after Mills. An alternate claim is that the settlement was named for some nearby mills.
