Rockville Rockville is a canyon community on U-9, four miles southwest of Springdale. It was originally settled in late 1860 and early 1861 under the direction of Mormon Apostle Orson Pratt. The original name was Adventure but it was subsequently changed to Rockville because of the rocky soil and surroundings along the Virgin River. John W. Van Cott |
