SPRINGDALE Springdale is at the west entrance to Zion National Park. In 1862 Albert Petty, George Petty, J. H. Whitlock, and others arrived here after spending the surnmer at Shunesburg. Albert Petty's wife suggested the name because the settlement was adjacent to some freshwater springs. John W. Van Cott |
