History of Stockton, Utah

STOCKTON

Stockton (Tooele) is one-half mile east of Rush Valley. The settlement was originally called Camp Relief by soldiers of the California Volunteers under General Connor. They later changed lthe name to Stockton for the California town many soldiers were from.
