History of Sunset, Utah
Taken from the Utah Place Names (Links Added)

SUNSET

Sunset was on U-84 and US-91 as an outgrowth of nearby Clinton. The name Sunset was used because the community was set up on an elevated location on a sand ridge, giving the residents a clear view of the Lake.
