MOUNTAIN HOME

Mountain Home (Duchesne) is five miles west of Altonah on U-134 in the upper benchland of the southwest Uinta Mountains. The settlement developed from the upper portion of the Boneta townsite that did not develop as originally planned. Joseph D. West settled in this area in 1908.
