PRATTVILLE

Prattville (Sevier) is at a point on the Sevier River, four miles east of Richfield. On June 21, 1873, a group of Mormon pioneers arrived and established their community, which was named Prattville after Helaman Pratt. Unfortunately, the settlers soon moved to other locations because the soil was too alkaline and waterlogged for their purposes.
