History of Upton, Utah

UPTON

Upton (Summit) was a small settlement up Chalk Creek, above Coalville. An early name was Hufffville for the Joseph Huff family who originally settled on the creek. That name now clings to a fork of Chalk Creek. As more people moved in, Huffville became Up Town then Upton as being "up the creek" from Coalville.
